Spend an afternoon of a weekend exploring the country roads of beautiful Western North Carolina while you sample some of the best cheeses being made in the South today! The WNC Cheese Trail allows you to connect directly with cheese makers, see where your favorite cheeses are crafted, and buy straight from the producers. You will find cow, goat, and sheep’s milk cheese, fresh to aged, pasteurized and raw, as well as delicious products from our partner members along the Trail.

Round Mountain Creamery
We are a dairy goat farm producing a variety of cheese available at our farm store and markets across western NC. We offer farm tours and cheese tastings by appointment.

Blue Ridge Mountain Creamery
For 10 years, artist and owner Victor Chiarizia has created unique cave aged cow milk cheeses and custom one of a kind glass art at his studio/creamery in Fairview. Tours of the grounds and cave are offered by appointment as well as viewing of blown glass artwork.

Looking Glass Creamery - Cheese Shop
Looking Glass Creamery is a small family farm that operates a seasonal, grass based, cow dairy and cheesemaking operation. All the milk in our cheese and caramel comes from their dairy cows and is processed on our farm by them. When you visit the LGC Cheese Shop in Fairview, you’ll enjoy great service, knowledgeable staff, beautiful views of the mountains, and comfortable seating including an outside garden area to enjoy.

The Ridgeline Craft Beverage Trail features breweries, distilleries and wineries in Gaston, Lincolnton and Cleveland County. Each has its own unique feel and culture and experienced altogether on the trail makes it a great weekend getaway.
