North Carolina Fairs

North Carolina State Fair, Raleigh, October 12-22

The N.C. State Fair’s mission is to showcase and promote the state's agriculture, agribusiness, arts, crafts and culture through the annual agricultural fair. The Fair offers the agricultural community a venue to showcase its crops, livestock and new technology. The Fair is also an opportunity for the state's ever-increasing urban population to learn about agriculture through educational and competitive exhibits in the areas of livestock, horticulture, cooking, folk art and much more. More than $600,000 in prize money is awarded each year. 

Chatham County Fair, Pittsboro, September 28 to October 7
The Purpose of the Chatham County Agricultural and Industrial Fair Inc. shall be:

1)  To encourage and promote the agricultural and industrial development in Chatham County.

2)  To sponsor an Annual Fair for the people of Chatham County and the surrounding counties to exhibit their agricultural products, industrial products, livestock, crafts, farm machinery and equipment, and family and consumer services.

3)  To educate the public concerning industrial products, livestock, crafts, farm equipment, rural development,  family and consumer sciences,  and home safety, and workplace development.

Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair, Dudley, September 28 to October 7

Everything from K9 shows, livestock shows, a math contest, talent contests, masonry contest, amusement rides and more.

Lenoir County Agricultural Fair, Kinston NC, October 3 to 7

Expect to find tractor driving competition, cheerleading, line dancing and more.

Pitt County Fair, Greenville, NC September 19 to 25

Children’s barnyard, karaoke, midway rides, games, scavenger hunt, more

Robeson Regional Agricultural Show, Robeson NC, September 29 to October 7, 2023
Carnival rides, live music, entertainment, more

Davidson County Agricultural Fair, Lexington, NC, September 18 to 23
The Lexington Kiwanis Club uses the proceeds from the fair to sponsor Kamp Kiwanis, a summer camping experience for more than 180 Davidson County boys and girls selected for attendance by the Department of Social Services. Fair proceeds help to maintain the camp’s wooden cabins, nature trails, playground, and swimming pool.

Carolina Classic Fair, Winston-Salem, September 29th to October 8
Rides, demolition derby, rodeo, tractor pull, and more. Formerly known as the Dixie Classic Fair.

Cleveland County Fair, Shelby, NC, September 7 to 10
This fair has been taking place for over 90 years, and features a wide range of entertainment, including a demolition derby, live music and magic, as well as midway rides. There are numerous discounts available.
