Resources for Mountain Communities

Our hearts go out to our farmers across North Carolina after the devastating storm. Now is the time for us to help our neighbors and support farms in whatever way we can.

The Hurricane Hotline from NCDA&CS has been activated. 1-866-645-9403.
In addition, they have other services offered through Emergency Programs - Disaster Information.
The North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund is now accepting contributions for hurricane damage.

We are compiling a list of resources and will be sharing those that are sent our way on our social @visitncfarms. Many farms have set up specific giving pages for their needs. If you have a farm you love, this may be a way to help!

Community foundations and many other organizations across North Carolina are collaborating to support western North Carolina after the devastation brought by Hurricane Helene.

A wide range of groups are also providing support to western North Carolina, including:

Groups like the Salvation Army, Baptists on Mission and others are activating to help clear roads, clean up flood debris and repair homes and businesses destroyed by Helene. Search by county for groups working in western North Carolina where you can lend a helping hand.

You can find additional information about the NCCF Disaster Relief Fund and other efforts by visiting the NC Community Foundation website at nccommunityfoundation.org/helene. This page will be updated regularly and they will continue to share ways to help on their social media @nccommunityfoundation.

Thank you for your support of western North Carolina farms and families.
